THE SUPPLY NOTEBOOK

Read wick and vessel specifications together

Identify the actual wick variation

A wick family, a size within that family and a pack quantity are three different facts. Read the selected series and size in the listing, then check whether the pack supplies pretabbed wicks, loose wick material, separate tabs or a kit. A multi-size assortment should not be compared with a single-size pack as if every piece were the same. Where the selected listing names conflicting series, leave that claim unresolved and ask the seller before choosing.

Look beyond the outside of the vessel

The outer height of a jar is not its usable inside diameter. A product photograph cannot supply that missing measurement. Wick recommendations depend on the candle configuration and wax, and changes to the formulation can change performance. A manufacturer’s wick guide can provide a starting point for testing; it does not turn every vessel with a similar external size into a proven match.

Keep testing outside the shopping filter

Our role and format filters describe reviewed listing information. They do not calculate a wick match, certify a vessel for heat or promise a stable flame. Review the actual manufacturer instructions and plan the required testing for the complete candle before relying on a combination. If a supplier does not give the specification you need, do not substitute a nearby measurement from another variation.
