THE SUPPLY NOTEBOOK

Read candle-mold formats and supplied parts

Start with the supplied mold form

The shape of a finished example is useful context, but the selected package determines what you receive. Check whether the listing describes one mold, several separate molds or one mold containing multiple cavities. A set with two parts may assemble into one form. Do not count every photograph or every finished sample as another supplied item.

Check openings, closures and accessories

Read the contents for any plugs, support parts, wick pins, clips or other accessories. An accessory beside the mold in a photo is not proof of inclusion. If the selected variation and description disagree about parts or dimensions, keep those facts unresolved until confirmed. A stated exterior measurement does not establish a finished candle’s weight or usable internal volume.

Do not borrow suitability from another craft

A similar-looking silicone form may be sold for resin, soap or baking. That resemblance does not establish its suitability for candle making or the formulation you intend to use. Choose according to the actual manufacturer’s specified application and handling instructions. This catalogue does not substitute a visual resemblance for that evidence or promise release performance from an untested combination.
